what are birth control pills

Birth control pills..............also called as oral contraceptives.

There are many kind of brands available in market for birth control, Yasmin, yaz are one of the popular brands.
Generally these pills comes in a packing of 28pills/strip.
28pills are divided as 21active pills & 7 nonactive pills (diffrent in colour)
21 pills contains active ingredient which stop developing womens egg, it stops sperms & then fertilization is prevented. it mainly helps women to avoid unwanted pregnancy.
other 7 Pills are non active. (can be placebo pills, vitamin pills or iron pills specially for menses time.)

• They have side effects such as nausea, vomitting , headache, weakness & brest tenderness.
• It should not be taken for long time.
• It does not protect again sexully transmitted diseases (STD) or HIV.
• Take it regularly @ a same time after dinner.
• Emergency contraceptive pills & these pills are not same.
